BitLocker is a full disk encryption feature included with selected editions of Windows Vista and later in January 2007. It is designed to protect data by providing encryption for entire volume. By default it uses the AES encryption algorithm in cipher block chaining (CBC) mode with a 128-bit or 256-bit key.
Bitlocker drive encryption is available in Windows Vista Ultimate/Enterprise, Windows 7 Ultimate/Enterpise, Windows 8 Professional/Enterprise, Windows 10 Professional/Enterprise, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2016.

How to open, access, read/write Bitlocker encrypted drive under macOS 10.12 Sierra/10.13 High Sierra computer?
Step 1: Download, install and launch M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac under macOS Sierra computer.
Step 2: Insert a Bitlocker encrypted external hard drive or USB flash drive.
Step 3: Select Bitlocker encrypted drive you want to open from M3 Bitlocker Loader.
And then click "Open" icon to continue.
Step 4: Enter the password (or 48-digit recovery key) and click "Unlock" to unlock Bitlocker encrypted drive.
Step 5: After unlocking, the Bitlocker encrypted drive will be mounted in read-write mode. You can view the files in Bitlocker encrypted drive and then select the expected files in Bitlocker encrypted drive and then copy them out.
