RAW USB drive recovery: How to recover data from RAW USB drive?

Updated by Admin to RAW Drive Recovery & Repair on June 4th, 2019

My friend saves Word files to a 32G USB flash drive, then pulls it out without safely removing USB flash drive. I insert it into my computer, and Windows prompts "Drive (X) is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" So I say no.

When I run chkdsk and chkdsk reports: "The type of the file system is RAW. CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives." Properties on the USB flash drive reports 0 bytes available.

What is a RAW drive? Is it possible to recover RAW USB drive without formatting it?
