My external hard drive became inaccessible, parameter is incorrect. In My Computer, it shows the disk as a "Local Drive" and it cannot be accessed. In Disk Management, it shows the drive is healthy, but has converted to a RAW drive somehow. I used a program called TestDisk without result. Is there a way to change external hard drive from RAW to NTFS/FAT32 without losing any data? I don't have the ability to copy the entire contents onto another hard drive, so I am hoping there is a way to fix RAW external hard drive without having to completely start from scratch.
Whenever a drive error occurs, a RAW file system is created. RAW drive has no recognizable Windows file system and is usually unreadable. This can cause potential disaster, as you might lose precious data previously saved on that drive. Fortunately, there is a softwware utility, M3 Data Recovery is highly recommended, it can help you to convert external hard drive from RAW to NTFS/FAT32 without losing any data or directly recover data from RAW external hard drive.
